Your health complaints can be approached from different treatment methods, including:

  • Body Acupuncture
  • Ear acupuncture
  • Electro - acupuncture
  • Moxa therapy

The aim of the treatment is to restore the energy balance. This is done by placing one or more very thin (sterilised) needles on acupuncture points.

The acupuncture points are usually located on the surface of the body on the meridian system.

Acupuncture needles are made of stainless steel.

In general, the treatment takes longer depending on the chronicity of the disease.

Since everyone is different, it is not possible to predict exactly the duration of the treatment. The acupuncturist can give an indication after the first treatment.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), of which Acupuncture is a part, is an holistic approach to healing.

A healthy human body forms a dynamic balance with itself and the environment. As soon as this balance is disturbed, meridian disharmony and disease occurs.

Using thin stainless steel needles, the unbalanced meridians can be restored and the life energy (Chi) can return to its natural rhythm.

  • acus - needle and pungere = stitches
  • Chi means: life force, energy, or life breath
  • Chi is also known as Ki, Qi or Prana

If you have problems with your health (physical or mental), there is an imbalance in your body.
This balance can often be restored with the help of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Most people try acupuncture after disappointing results with medication or other treatment methods.

Traditional Chinese Medicine is also very successful as a preventative treatment method.

Chi (Qi) , Yin en Yang.

In traditional Chinese philosophy, the universe consists of a cycle of the life energy referred to as Qi.

Qi manifests itself in two opposing forces: yin and yang.

  • Yin refers to the dark, tenacious, receptive, feminine principle.
  • Yang refers to the light, mobile, purposeful, masculine principle.

Yin and yang are not absolute opposites. They can only coexist in relation to each other. Yin requires Yang.

Humans also possess of yin and yang powers. For a healthy balance, it is important that yin and yang work well together. Our feelings, thoughts, and physical condition are the result of the interaction between these two forces. If yin and yang are out of balance for a long time, disharmony and disease ensue.

This balance can be disturbed by for example changes in the

environment, emotional pressure or an unhealthy lifestyle.

It is of course not immediate the sickness presents.

The blood circulation and its relation to oxygen from the lungs is a good example of the interaction of this energy.

The energy in our body follows an extensive system of channels (meridians) and circulates throughout the body in 24 hours.

There are twelve main meridians, each of whom has a relationship with an organ.

For optimal energy management, the organs must be in good condition. The condition of the organs depends on factors such as diet, lifestyle, heredity and environment. This means that energy management is different in every person.
